Splish Splash On a Camp Out

We are taking Ryder camping for a long weekend...kind of ironic that we are supposed to be getting back to nature and I have my wireless card here and am on the internet! Ha! Anyhoo, Matt's family are big campers so when I married him that was one thing I had to learn to do, too! This is Ryder's first camp out..We were trying to decide what would be the best way to give him a bath and finally decided on a big tub! He thought it was fun and he loves us to pour water over his head! I love this picture because you can actually see the water droplets! I'll be posting more pics as we go through the weekend!

Beep Beep!

Ryder got a new toy today and he absolutely loves it! It is a little car that has a handle on the back so we can push him down the sidewalk. He has a Jeep that is like a walker of sorts, but unfortunately he can only move it backwards right now. Needless to say, it was killing my back to bend down and push him down the sidewalk! Ryder loves the new car and so does Mommy! LOL! He even puts his hands on the steering wheel like he is driving it!

Our Mess by Morning Light...

All of the Debris

Falling Tree looking out of my office Window

We knew it was probably going to look even worst once the sun came up and it did... our poor back yard!

Crazy Weather

A Green Pool, literally there is probably 3" of leaves down there...

This is all Hail!!!!

While my sweet Ryder sleeps peacefully, not even so much as making a yawn, a huge storm rolled through our little town leaving a huge mess for us to clean up in the morning! There was hail like I have never seen before...this Spring has been an especially crazy weather time! Here are some pictures of what we got!

Bluebonnets

My favorite part of Spring in Texas is when the Bluebonnets start to grow! Always takes me back to 10th Grade Biology, too! LOL! Matt and I were out doing errands today and on the way home there was a huge patch of flowers! I couldn't resist taking Ryder's picture! He actually was mesmerized by the flowers, it was making us laugh! Unfortunately he did a face-plant at the end and got his first boo boo right beside his eye! I treated it as soon as we got home and it hasn't seemed to bother him at all. Here are some of the pics we got!

Spaghetti

One more thing I just couldn't resist posting! Ryder had spaghetti for dinner tonight, it was yummy so he thought! Needless to say I let him get very messy! Here is a picture of the mess and how we cleaned it up!

Entertaining Ryder

I have found that my little boy, sweet as he is, has a very short attention span! He is always interested in what someone else has and not what is right in front of him...until... I hooked up his VTec Toy. I put it on an extra TV we have in my office. It sits right on the floor, not really aesthetically pleasing, but it is eye level with him and the computer pad fits nicely in his lap. At this stage the only thing you are required to do is push buttons. Every time a button is pushed something new happens on the TV screen. He loves it and it occupies him for a good 30 minutes, even with two new teeth coming in on the bottom which are very bothersome to him at the moment! And, it is educational! There is no going wrong, except that maybe I am already breeding a video game addict?? Here are some pictures of him playing!

The YMCA

Well, I had a new experience today! I go to the local YMCA about four mornings a week to work out. When Ryder was three months old he started going with me and staying in the Kidzone. It is wonderful! The ladies that watch the babies are just like you remember your Grandmother being! They absolutely love the babies! Today, when I went to pick him up after my class there was a lady at the door who I hadn't met in the past. She asked me which kiddo they were getting for me and I told her, Ryder. She then replied and said "Oh, You're Ryder's Mom...we just love him"! I was thankful for the compliment, but "Ryder's Mom" hit me kind of hard. It's hard to explain, but I had difficulty realizing that there are already people who know Ryder and not me. I know this is just the first of a whole life time of this, but it just makes me value my time with him even more!
